• Maeve Cox

    Registered Counsellor - CCC, MACP

I believe we are complex, multi-faceted beings. We all have the ability and desire within ourselves to heal and grow, and it is an honour to join someone in navigating the messiness of life. I have 10+ years of experience working with trauma, in particular domestic violence, childhood abuse, and developmental trauma. I am queer, kink and poly friendly, with an interest in alternative relationships and dynamics, and the healing power of learning and expressing one’s needs and desires.

I focus on creating a warm and nonjudgmental space to explore the possibilities of healing, resilience, empowerment, and connection. I am a somatic EMDR practitioner and incorporate aspects of IFS (parts work), emotion focused therapy, and DBT, with a heavy dose of mindfulness and self-compassion. I can offer a safe container to meet the parts of yourself that are most in need of being heard and healed. I look forward to hearing from you if you think we would be a good therapeutic fit.
